Inclusive Groups for Children and Teens in Hamilton, Ontario
Recreational Respite is happy to power the Friend Den: an inclusive weekly drop-off program with small group ratios. Offered at Always Connected Treatment Centre in Hamilton, the Friend Den is ideal for children and teens who are on the autism spectrum, and/or have diverse learning styles. The recreational programs are designed to support children and youth through inclusive, engaging, and purposeful activities in a safe and supportive environment.
Program Details:
📍 Location: Hamilton Italian Center, 420 Crerar Drive, Hamilton, ON
(Near Stonechurch and Upper Wentworth)
🕔 Schedule: October-December 2025 (12 weeks)
Thursdays | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM – for children and youth ages 6–17
These sessions will focus on building social connections, life skills, and confidence through fun, structured recreational activities. Programming is facilitated by Recreational Respite’s Community Engagement Providers, and is open to participants with a variety of support needs.
