Virtual Group Programs
Virtual Group Programs - Young Adults 16+
Our virtual group programs have been developed in partnership with our participants to address a variety of recreational interests, independent skill development, goals and outcomes that promote inclusion, encourage community participation and nurture social connectivity with others. These programs have been developed specifically with and for individuals with disabilities, those who struggle with mental health and others that face barriers to participation.
Please note that our group programs run virtually via Zoom in Eastern Time and anyone across Canada can register!
Virtual Group Programs - Youth 12-17
The Friend Den consists of participant-led, “chat style” programs that offer space for youth to connect with peers on a weekly basis to discuss what’s on their mind and engage in recreational activities. Activities may include (but are not limited to), icebreakers/games, drawing, singing, dance, physical activity, deep dives – whatever aligns with the interests of the group that week! A consistent facilitator will be present to support a kind, safe, and inclusive space that fosters equal opportunity for engagement, and guidance around healthy socialization. The intended outcomes of these programs include development of conversation and socialization skills, sense of community/reduced isolation, confidence, self-esteem, and exploration of new interests.
When to join? - Tuesdays at 6:30-7:30pm Eastern Time and anyone across Canada can register!
